Blog Comments

comments

Today we learned how to comment to other student’s blogs.  We always make sure that we 1.  Say something that we like.  2.  Make a connection.  3.  We might want to ask a question.  4.  Sign only using our 1st name.  5.  Reread to make sure it makes sense, look for capitalization, and punctuation.   Some of our parents have commented on our posts and it has been very exciting to read their comments.

Question Formulating Technique (QFT)

QFT

To start our butterfly unit, students asked questions.  Here are some of the questions that were asked.

  • What material does a caterpillar use to make a cocoon?
  • How much does a caterpillar eat?
  • How does a caterpillar come out of its cocoon?
  • What is a butterflies length, weight, and height?

We then evaluated our questions as open ( needs an explaination) or closed ( one word answer). We will be using these questions to learn about our caterpillars.
