We were able to Skype with a grade 2 class from Canada this week. It was great to connect, play a math game , and then talk to them about their regional celebrations. The town in which they live in has a population of 1,300. When we Skype with other classrooms it is rare that we find a town that is smaller than we are. A huge thank you to our new friends in Canada. This video was made by one of our students.

Math
Students this week chose a math topic to explain using their SeeSaw learning journal. It is so great to hear them explain their thinking! Topics like multiplication, money, adding 4-2 digit numbers, adding or subtracting using an open number line, and making 10 were explained. Check out their learning journals to see all the videos.
