Mrs. Fish, a representative from our local Lion’s Club, came and talked to us today.  She taught us about Helen Keller. Helen Keller asked the Lion’s Club to help provide glasses to people who needed them. The Lion’s Club still provides glasses and they also go around to schools to teach students about the United States Flag.

We learned that there are 50 stars on the flag to represent each state of the United States.  We learned about the colors of the flag. The red stands for courage.  The white stands for liberty and the blue stands for loyalty. It was great to learn about the Lion’s Club and our nation’s flag.
