Mystery Reader

Officer Mike from the local Juvenile Probation office was our Mystery Reader last week.  It was so great to have him come and read to us. He also talked to us about the 7 habits.  Specifically, he talked about the 8th habit, finding our voice.  He did a fantastic job and we decided as a class that we would like him to come and visit again. Thank you Officer Mike!

Learning Journals

We are adding content to our learning journals.  Last week, we added some of our favorite reading strategies that we use to become better readers. We used a program called ChatterKid by Duck Duck Moose.  This is a free app that lets students record their voice and decorate their picture.  You can access their learning journals by clicking on the link in their learning blogs.  You can leave feedback in the form of comments or likes on their individual learning journal.

Calling all parents, friends, and relatives! We want you to be part of our classroom.  Come in and read to us.  Give us 5 clues about yourself that we reveal during the week and we will try and figure out who you are.  Contact me if you are willing to come in and be one of our mystery readers.  And a  huge thank you to our first mystery reader!!
